CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE 


Students learn the necessary skills to work in long-term care, home health, or hospital environments. A method of instruction providing detail education, training, and work-based experience, and direct patient/client care, generally at clinical site.


 

Steps Required to Register for Nurse Aide (CNA)

• Step 1: Bring All Shot Records & Photo ID

MMR – 2 shot series or TITER TB TEST (no older than 1 year prior to 1st class day)
TETENAUS (no older than 10 years prior to 1st class day)
HEP B #1, #2, & #3 or TITER **Note: HEP B only titer needed if student can’t find shot record or is in middle of series**
VARCELLA (Chicken Pox) or History of Chicken Pox
Flu Shot
Copy of Valid Driver’s License or ID
Copy of Social Security Card
**Background Checks will be ran on each student enrolling in a class**

• Step 2: Complete the SPC CE application

• Step 3: Register For a Class

• Step 4: New students create an account, existing students, log-in

A clinical health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational therapy, skills and concepts learned in the class enviroment to be applied in actual health care facilities.

EKG MONITOR TECH

Students learn the fundamentals of the anatomy and physiology of the cardiac system, basic EKG procedures, interpretation of the basic dysrhythmias and a brief look at treatment.
