Federal Work-Study (CWS) program offers students an opportunity to earn financial aid through work.
To receive a College Work-Study job, a student must have applied for financial aid, be eligible for the award based on the federal need analysis, meet South Plains College’s financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements, and be enrolled during the fall and/or spring semesters.
Awards are made on a first-come, first-serve basis to students who have requested college work-study and who meet all requirements. The largest College Work-Study award given is for nineteen (19) hours of work per week. Smaller awards are given, depending on the financial need of the student. Presently, the pay rate for every work-study student is $7.25 per hour. Students may go online to view current work-study positions.
